AI credits and your own model key, explained

Two bills are easy to mix up. CrewX24 credits pay for designing and changing a crew. The model that runs the crew is the key you bring, and the provider bills that usage.

What a credit is

AI credits pay for CrewX24’s own model calls: the Architect, AI suggestions, crew and workflow generation, modifications, and AI troubleshooting. They are not a meter on every crew run.

The free trial includes no credits. Starter is $39 a month with 1,000 credits and 5 crew creations. Pro is $99 with 4,000 credits and 15 creations. Business is $299 with 15,000 credits and 50 creations. Yearly billing saves 20% on those three plans. Extra packs can be bought without changing the plan.

What the provider key is

Crew execution uses the provider key the workspace connects. That usage is billed by the provider, not deducted as CrewX24 credits. A free workspace can run the pre-built crew this way. It cannot open the Architect or a blank canvas.

What a crew creation is

Creating a new crew uses one permanent slot. Deleting a crew does not give the slot back. Editing and deploying a new version of a crew you already have does not use another slot.

Questions

If I run out of credits, do running crews stop?

Credits gate the Architect and the other native AI calls listed above. A crew run that uses your own provider key is not metered as those credits. You can buy a credit pack without changing the plan.
