AI agents vs RPA: which problem you actually have

If the work is the same clicks in the same screens, you are describing RPA. If the work is a message that has to be read, answered, or filed through an account you can connect, you are describing a workflow with a model step.

What RPA is for

Robotic process automation follows a user interface. It opens a window, types into fields, and clicks the button a person would click. That is useful when a vendor has no API and the screen rarely changes. It is brittle when the layout moves, and it is a poor place to let a model improvise a click.

What a crew does instead

CrewX24 does not drive another product’s screens. A trigger starts a run. A tool step calls an action on an account the workspace connected, such as reading a Gmail thread or a Telegram update. A model step can classify that text or draft a reply. The canvas is the path. The model does not get an open computer, and there is no code-execution sandbox.

Sending email, sending a Telegram message, and creating or deleting a calendar event wait for a person. That pause is the practical difference from an unattended bot that is allowed to finish the task alone.

How to choose

Stay with screen automation when the only interface is the screen and the path is stable. Use a crew when you can connect the account and you want the judgment in one step and the action in another. A mailbox rule is enough when you only need a keyword filter and no draft.

Questions

Does CrewX24 replace RPA software?

No. It does not record clicks or claim to run the same jobs as a desktop robot. It runs workflows against accounts and tools you connect, with approval on external sends and deletes.
